About the roleDo not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.We have exciting opportunities for Electrotechnical Self-employed Assessors covering various locations across the UK. You will undertake periodic assessments across all customers registered under various electrotechnical schemes to assess their work, resources and ensure they follow the rules and technical requirements relating to scheme membership. Our clients are Government-recognised and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) approved.What youll be doingUndertaking daily/weekly programmed visits, to be centrally scheduled by a member of our administration teamConducting assessments of customers / members ensuring they are compliant to the competent person scheme rules.Undertaking assessments of applicants for registration and conducting assessment visits in other geographical areas, as neededMaking recommendations concerning approval, continued registration, deferment or rejection and completing all documentation required by the appropriate proceduresPreparing and completing comprehensive assessment reports with specific attention to detail.Delivering all assessment documentation on timeBuilding relationships with customers whilst providing an excellent customer serviceAssisting in the training of newly appointed Assessors, as requestedComplying with the requirements of our Health and Safety PolicyUndertaking any other duties as appropriate within your competenceAttending regular team meetingsAttending training courses and continued professional development.What were looking forEssentialHigh level of technical competence over a wide range of electrical installationsDetailed knowledge of BS 7671 and related codes of practiceExcellent report writing, numeracy, and IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office Personable and communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels.Excellent customer service skills can recognise the customers needs and strives to deliver the best level of customer service.Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.Full driving licenceFull flexibility and the ability to work out of area when needed.DesirableKnowledge of accreditation criteriaCorporate membership of the IET/CIBSEHNC in engineering or equivalentVocational Assessor qualificationsAdult Teaching qualificationsWhat well offer youA competitive day rateSix weeks trainingFlexibility, with regards to days workedChance to be a part of an extremely professional assessment team.If you think this is the job for you, then wed be delighted to hear from you!
