An excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established companyJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent.Salary: Competitive Salary, Negotiable Depending on Experience.Location: Deal, Kent CT14.Schedule: Monday Friday.About The Company:Providing groundworks and civil engineering services for maintenance and new installations, the company work for private, commercial and public clients across Kent and the South East. They deliver projects large and small from public highways and housing developments to private residential builds and home improvement projects.They are now looking to recruit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team.About The Role:Based at their Betteshanger Park office near Deal the Quantity Surveyor will work as part of the Commercial management team to ensure complete financial control of projects located throughout the South East of England.Duties:Provide commercial support for Civil Engineering and Groundworks packagesUnderstand contractual requirements of JCT and NEC forms of contractLiaise with client & client representatives & 3rd partiesAttend site meetings as requiredCost management for project / sector worksAssist with material and subcontract procurementProduction of cost forecastsPrepare interim applications for paymentProcess Subcontract assessments and paymentsManagement and identification of Risk & OpportunitiesAssist with monthly CVR and subcontract liability forecastsAssist with estimating and tenders for new projectsCandidate Requirements:A qualified / experienced Intermediate level QS with at least 3-5 years industry experience spread over a mix of office and site duties.HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subjectDemonstrable commercial experience, preferably within the Civil Engineering / Groundworks sectorGood understanding of JCT & NEC contracts.
