Location: Head office based in Bristol, majority of planting work in South West EnglandStart Date: Monday 29th September 2025Full time position (often includes weekends during peak season, November-March)About Us:Delta Forest UK is a forestry company specializing in large scale tree planting. Our aim is to help create and nurture the UK's forests. We are a small company, part of the larger Delta Forest group which includes forestry companies in France and Iceland.The Role:We are seeking a highly competent and dedicated Forestry Manager to join our team. You will be instrumental in coordinating multiple tree planting projects and ensuring high standards of quality are maintained. This role involves managing a diverse team and implementing planting strategies aligned with best forestry practices. You will serve as the crucial link between our planting crews on the ground and our clients.Key Responsibilities:Manage and inspire a diverse team of plantersSuccessfully coordinate multiple tree planting projects, handling timelines and budgetsImplement planting plans to match clients’ needsApproach challenges with a proactive mindset, demonstrating the ability to adapt and find effective solutions under pressureCommunicate effectively with team members and clients, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout all project phasesOversee tree planting operations from November to AprilManage young forest maintenance work (brushing, pruning, mowing etc) from May to SeptemberEnsure all work adheres to health and safety guidelines including writing risk assessmentsManage and maintain our fleet of vehicles, including trucks and ATVsAttend pre-planting site visits and meetingsCollaborate with the Operations Director to create project quotes and manage budgetsManage, maintain and distribute equipmentWhat We Offer:The opportunity to work with a family-sized company with true respectful valuesA commitment to fair working relationships for all staffThe chance to work on diverse projects from woodland creation to agroforestryThe opportunity to help shape the future of the companyQualifications and Experience:Demonstrated leadership skillsProven project management experienceExcellent problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication skillsExperience in tree planting and forestry managementRelevant certifications (e.g., EFAW +F certificate, ATV ticket)Full and clean driving licenceAbility to work independently, remotely and flexiblyExcellent time management skillsTo Apply:If you are a highly motivated and experienced forestry professional looking to make a significant impact on the UK's forests, we encourage you to apply.
