Job DescriptionMechanical Estimator - Dartford - 70,000 Location: Dartford Full-Time - Days Monday to Friday Salary: 66,000 + 4,200 Car Allowance + Bonus SchemeAre you a skilled Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in HVAC and M&E projects? Key Skills Required:Strong mechanical engineering background with understanding of wider M&E disciplinesExcellent communication skills across all levels (internal and external)High-level organisational and time management abilitiesEnergetic, proactive, and self-motivatedDemonstrated ability to estimate and secure projects up to 5MMinimum 5 years' experience in HVAC-led project environmentsConfident working both independently and within a team setting Core Responsibilities:Apply the companys Bid/No Bid protocols rigorously, escalating where necessaryReview and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and site information to produce accurate estimatesPrioritise and manage multiple deadlines efficientlyIdentify and assess operational and commercial risks prior to bid submissionUse Ametch to prepare clear, modular estimates covering labour, materials, specialists, and time delivering compliant scopes and margin targetsDevelop value engineering and alternative bid proposals where appropriateStrengthen the subcontractor and supplier network by sourcing and introducing new, skilled optionsImprove and structure the internal costing database to suit varying work types and sizesComplete all elements of the Project Handover and Mobilisation Checklist for successful bidsFlag any variation opportunities or risk items to the delivery team during project handoverAttend client meetings, tender interviews, and presentations as requiredSupport compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and initiatives Whats on Offer:66,000 base salary4,200 car allowancePerformance-related bonus schemeOpportunity to work on high-profile, high-value projectsA dynamic, supportive, and ambitious team environmentClear pathway for career progression and long-term developmentComprehensive benefits package
