At Wade, we back our people to thrive at work and in life, because when our people grow, so does our impact.Overviewof RoleThe Construction Project Engineer provides technical and coordination support across the full project lifecycle,from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.The role focuses on engineering coordination, constructability, technical assurance, programmetrackingand on-site delivery support within regulated pharmaceutical and life sciences environments.The Construction Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, design consultants,contractorsand client representatives to ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with projectobjectives.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Construction & Technical PlanningSupport review of design documentation for constructability,complianceand sequencingAssistin development of project programmes,phasingandlogisticsplansReview technical specifications and ensure alignment with client standards (GMP / EHS / Engineering)Coordinate technical queries (RFIs) between contractors and design teamsSupport cost reviews and value engineering exercisesAssistwith permit applications and statutory compliance documentationEngineering Coordination & Site DeliveryCoordinate day-to-day site engineering activitiesEnsure works are deliveredin accordance withdrawings,specificationsand quality standardsMonitor contractor compliance with approved method statements and risk assessmentsTrack installation progress against programme milestonesSupport resolution of technical and construction interface issuesParticipate in coordination meetings andmaintaintechnical action trackersProgramme & Cost SupportMonitor progress against baseline scheduleAssistinidentifyingrisks to time and cost and escalate appropriatelyReview subcontractor progress reportsSupport change control processes by assessing technical impactsContribute to weekly and monthly reportingQuality, Compliance & GMPEnsure construction activities align with GMP and regulated environment requirementsSupport implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Monitor documentation for compliance with validation and commissioning requirementsAssistin coordinating commissioning and handover documentationSupport audit readiness and regulatory compliance activitiesHealth, Safety & Environmental (EHS)Promote a strong safety culture aligned with client and Wade standardsEnsure site activities are compliant with HSE legislation and project-specific EHS plansParticipate in site inspections and safety observationsSupport review of RAMS and permit-to-work systemsProject CloseoutAssistwith punch list management and close-out trackingSupport compilation of as-built documentationCoordinate O&M manuals and handover packsContribute to lessons learned reviewsAbout YouEssentialDegree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ConstructionManagementor related discipline38 years experience in construction or engineering rolesExperience working within pharmaceutical, life sciences or GMP-regulated environmentsStrong understanding of construction methods and technical coordinationAbility to interpret drawings and technical documentationFamiliarity with programme management tools (MS Project / Primavera P6)Strong organisational and coordination skillsFull UK driving licenceCSCS Card orequivalentDesirableExperience supporting commissioning or validation activitiesKnowledge of NEC / JCT contractsAPM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or working towardNEBOSH or IOSH safety qualificationExperience working on live or operational sitesUnderstanding of Building Safety Act and CDM RegulationsOur OfferCompetitive Salary6,000 Car AllowanceCompany Pension SchemeVitality Health CareRole based:Macclesfield regionEmployment type: full-time
