Quantity Surveyor - Edinburgh

Location: Edinburgh Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Project: Major City Centre Fit-Out The Opportunity A leading building contractor specialising in high-end city centre fit-outs is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major project in Edinburgh . This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to manage all commercial aspects of a high-profile fit-out. Role Overview As Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for cost management, commercial reporting, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the project and site teams to ensure the project is delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Value works, manage variations, and maintain cost control Administer contracts, including interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage risk Support project teams with commercial advice and reporting Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out or high-end building sector Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills Experience in managing project budgets and commercial reporting Ability to work independently and as part of a project team Relevant QS qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) Whats on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work on a prestigious city centre project Supportive, professional team environment Career development opportunities within a specialist fit-out contractor TPBN1_UKTJ
