Job Description: Pastry Chef Temporary 3 Week Contract (Edinburgh City Centre) Location: Edinburgh City Centre Pay: 16.00 per hour Contract: Temporary 3 weeks Hours: 8:00am 4:00pm, 40 hours per week (option for extra hours if desired) Days: 5 days per week but flexible with days off and weekends About the Role Were looking for a skilled and reliable Pastry Chef to join our clients kitchen team in the heart of Edinburgh on a 3-week temporary contract . Youll be supporting the pastry section ahead of several large functions, working daytime shifts only no service work required . This is a fantastic opportunity for a pastry professional who enjoys creative, production-style work in a relaxed, supportive kitchen. Key Responsibilities Prepare a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for upcoming events. Support the head pastry chef and wider kitchen team with production for large functions. Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Ensure consistency, presentation, and portion control meet required standards. Manage time effectively to meet production schedules. Keep the pastry section clean, organised, and fully stocked. Requirements Previous experience as a pastry chef or within a pastry section. Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently. Strong attention to detail and passion for pastry. Flexible with days off can work weekends or weekdays to suit. Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
