On behalf of Natwest, AMS are looking for a Programme Manager for 12-month contract based in Edinburgh/Manchester/London, hybrid working (2 days in the office per week). Purpose of the role: The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of complex, long-term business change programmes within a financial services environment. The role is focused on achieving strategic business outcomes enabled by technology, rather than delivering technology itself. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, governing, and delivering programmes that introduce innovative products and services to market and support the organisation's growth objectives. What you'll do: Define and shape programmes in partnership with senior stakeholders, including objectives, scope, structure, and financial business cases Establish and manage appropriate programme governance, controls, and business risk frameworks in line with programme complexity Ensure project and service outcomes align with agreed programme objectives and strategic priorities Own and manage programme plans, controls, resource plans, and progress reporting Lead the end-to-end delivery of new products and services, including design, build, testing, and market deployment through innovative, non-standard approaches Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure appropriate resources and capabilities are in place to achieve programme outcomes Build, maintain, and influence strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions, supporting effective decision-making aligned to business objectives Lead, support, and develop a team of managers, fostering clear communication and high performance Deliver programmes using Agile ways of working across long-term initiatives The skills you'll need: Proven experience delivering business change programmes enabled by technology, rather than purely technical or IT-focused delivery Experience within financial services, delivering complex and strategic programmes Experience working in Agile delivery environments Strong people leadership skills, including managing managers and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders Sound understanding of business risk management, with a focus on organisational and commercial risk rather than technical project risk Experience delivering new or innovative products and services to market, including considerations across design, marketing, pricing, testing, and deployment Next steps There are plenty of reasons why NatWest is a great place to work in a temporary job; they are becoming a simpler Bank, which is more integrated and technology driven.
