Social Worker

Role: Social Worker Location: Cumbria Working Hours: 37 hours per week Rate: 40 per hour Pattern: Hybrid Pertemps Social Care are supporting our client by recruiting an experienced Social Worker. Responsibilities Duty & Assessment Duties: Respond to referrals from the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). Conduct Section 47 enquiries and complete Single Assessments. Attend child protection meetings and core groups. Liaise with police, education, and health services to assess risk and need. Looked After Children Duties: Develop and review care plans for children in care. Attend LAC reviews and contribute to permanency planning. Prepare initial court statements and provide evidence in care proceedings. Maintain regular contact with children and carers, ensuring their voices are heard. Qualifications Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England. Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in statutory child care settings. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures. Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively across agencies.
