Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Power EngineerLocation: Working From Home + on-site in Cumbria 2 days every 2 weeksRole Type: PermanentSalary: 40,000 - 46,000 per annum depending on experienceOur client, an established aerospace & defence engineering firm in Cumbria, require an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.You will be involved in the specification and tendering of equipment within the Electrical Power System and subsequently will manage the technical side of the contract through staged design reviews through to design completion, working closely with external suppliers to meet the standards of engineering excellence required. Please note we can only consider sole UK Nationals (no dual nationalities) What the role of the Electrical Power Engineer entails:Some of the main duties of the Electrical Power Engineer will include:Writing technical specifications and supporting in the down selection and placing of contractsLiaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customerFollowing design lifecycle management to ensure the delivery of equipment to specificationProviding technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power systemPreparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectivelyWhat experience you need to be the successful Electrical Power Engineer:Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering or related fieldProven experience as a power systems engineerExperience with high power, medium voltage power electronics, machines, and drivesKnowledge of power systems, including conversion, distributions, and generationWorking within a relevant engineering role to industry codes and standardsComplex design programmes experienceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills This really is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Power Engineer to progress their career.
