This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in high standards and enjoys working with modern, complex PSV fleets.The Role of the HGV Technician As an HGV Technician, youll play a key part in keeping the fleet safe, reliable, and compliant. You will carry out inspections, diagnose faults, and complete mechanical and electrical repairs across all major vehicle systemsincluding engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrics.Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician Routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of the PSV fleet to DVSA standardsDiagnose and repair faults across engines, brakes, electrical systems, air-con, and driveline componentsEnsure all work aligns with manufacturer guidelines and internal maintenance proceduresUse diagnostic equipment to accurately assess vehicle performance and identify required repairsMaintain a safe, organised working environment and follow all workshop safety protocolsWhat Youll Need as HGV Technician NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Time-Served, or equivalent qualification in HGV/PSV MaintenanceFull UK Driving LicenceStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsConfident in safe use of workshop equipment and competent in electrical system repairsAbility to work independently and within a teamIRTEC accreditation an advantageIf you're a proactive and skilled HGV Technician looking for a stable night-shift role with excellent rates, apply today!
