Job Description FairfieldSchoolofBusiness(FSB)isacommunity focusedhighereducationproviderwithteachinglocationsinLondon,Birmingham,Leicester,andSheffield.Weprovidehighquality,industry-relevantqualificationsinbusiness,criminology,counselling,andhealthcaremanagementforpeoplewhowanttoimprovetheirprofessionalandpersonalcircumstancesbuthavefoundthattraditionaleducationroutesdonotalignwiththeircurrentlifeandcommitments.FSBsmissionistofacilitateincreasedaccessibilitytohighqualityqualificationsbyprovidingtransformationallearningexperiencesthatmeetorexceedtherenownedstandardsofUKeducation.OverallPurposeoftheRoleThepurposeofthisroleistosupporttheteamLead/CampusDeanindeliveringahigh-qualitystudentlearningexperiencewhiledevelopingtheskillsandknowledgerequiredforfutureleadership.TheTraineeTeamLeadwillgainexposuretoacademicteamcoordination,coursedelivery,andadministrativeduties,withastrongemphasisonacademicandstudentsupport.ThisroleoffersastructuredpathwaytogrowintoafullTeamLeadrolethroughguidedtraining,mentoring,andhands-onexperience.PrincipleDuties:SupporttheTeamLead/CampusDeanwithday-to-dayacademiccoordinationandoperations.Shadowandassistwithacademicleadershiptasks,includingtimetabling,lecturerallocation,coverarrangements,andqualityassurance.SupportCourseCoordinatorsandLecturerswithclassdelivery,materials,assessments,andteachingstandards.Deliversupervisedteachingacrossfoundation,undergraduate,andpostgraduatelevels.Contributetocurriculumplanning,development,andacademicsupportinitiatives.Monitorstudentattendance,progress,andachievement,maintainingaccurateacademicrecords.Identifyandsupportat-riskstudentsincollaborationwithacademicandstudentsupportteams.Provideacademicandpastoralsupportthroughtutorials,officehours,andPATsupervision.Assistwithmarkingandprovidetimely,constructivefeedbackinlinewithacademicguidelines.Gatherstaffandstudentfeedbacktosupportcontinuousimprovementandstudentsuccess.Participateinacademicmeetings,events,inductionactivities,andcampus-wideinitiatives.Engageincontinuousprofessionaldevelopment,mentoring,andtrainingtoprepareforfutureleadershiproles.PersonSpecificationEssentialMastersdegreeinarelevantdiscipline.FellowshipoftheHigherEducationAcademy(HEA)orwillingnesstoobtainwithinaspecifiedtimeframe.PGCertinTeaching&Learning(orequivalent)orcommitmenttocompletion.Experiencedeliveringteachinginhighereducationandsupportingstudentlearning.Experienceinmoduleleadershiporsupportingmodulecoordination.Strongorganisationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleacademicpriorities.Demonstratedcommitmenttostudentsupport,engagement,andacademicquality.Effectivecommunicationandinterpersonalskills,withtheabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithacademicandprofessionalservicesteams.DesirablePhDinarelevantsubjectarea.SeniorFellowshipoftheHigherEducationAcademy(SFHEA).Experienceinanacademicleadershiporsupervisoryrole.Experiencecontributingtoqualityassurance,curriculumdevelopment,oracademicenhancementactivities.Evidenceofinvolvementinstudentretention,progression,orengagementinitiatives.Experiencesupportingormentoringcolleaguesinanacademicsetting.Familiaritywithinstitutionalpoliciesrelatingtoacademicquality,studentwelfare,GDPR,andequality.Demonstratedreadinessoraspirationtoprogressintoaformalacademicleadershiprole.Schedule:Includeseveningandweekends.JBRP1_UKTJ
