Principal Civil Engineer

We are expanding our Water team and are looking to hire in our Croydon, Exeter, Manchester, Sunderland, and Swindon offices. Role overview Based in any of our offices in Exeter, Croydon, Manchester, Sunderland, or Swindon, you will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team of around 90 Engineers and Technicians. You will be part of our Water Sector Team, providing design expertise in collaboration with major UK water companies including South West Water, Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, United Utilities, and Yorkshire Water. For a glimpse of some recent projects and opportunities, follow this link:Main Duties and Responsibilities You will join an established team of Civil Engineers supporting multidisciplinary design schemes to deliver projects within the Water sector, while also mentoring and supporting developing Engineers and Technicians. Projects vary in size and complexity, involving optioneering, outline design, or detailed design. Work may be directly for water companies or through contractors as part of design and construct contracts. Your duties will likely include: Performing technical activities to ensure project delivery meets client requirements and standards Managing plans and schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards Engaging with clients and third parties as needed Promoting health, safety, welfare, and environmental sustainability in all work areas Qualifications, Experience & Skills required EssentialPreferredQualification • Relevant degree or experience • Chartered/incorporated or working towards this • Full driving licence Experience • Significant post-study work experience • Experience working with water industry clients • Relevant design experience Skills • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Motivated with a positive attitude • Proficiency in CAD / Revit and knowledge of BIM • Understanding of sustainable practices • Hydraulic calculation skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
