Group Financial Controller

Equifind are supporting a growing financial services group based across London and Croydon, who are looking to bring on an experienced and hands-on Group Financial Controller.This is a key hire within the business – someone to take full ownership of the month-end process, management reporting, statutory accounts, and support the leadership team with strong financial oversight.You’ll be managing a small team and play a pivotal role in helping the business scale. This would suit someone confident in the detail, but also able to step back and see the bigger picture. It’s a broad and varied role – ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and taking real ownership.Key Responsibilities:Full ownership of the monthly close and management accountsPreparation of board packs and financial analysis for leadershipYear-end reporting and liaison with auditorsManaging a small finance team and helping support their developmentOverseeing cashflow, budgeting and forecastingEnsuring compliance with regulatory and financial standardsPartnering with senior stakeholders across the businessAbout You:Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)At least 2 years post-qualified experienceStrong understanding of UK GAAP. US GAAP would also be advantageousStrong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience of month-end and year-end processesComfortable leading a small team and mentoring junior staffProactive, solutions-focused, and a strong communicatorComfortable working across multiple sites (Croydon & Central London)Compensation: £80,000–£90,000 base salaryAnnual discretionary bonusEmployer pension contributions25 days’ holiday per yearA range of insurance benefits and wellbeing initiativesPlus, a host of other great benefits!
