CNC Lathe Setter

Pay: Up to 16.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Title: CNC Lathe Setter Operator Hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Wednesday: 07:30 16:30 Thursday: 07:30 16:00 Friday: 07:30 13:00 Reports To: Machine Shop Supervisor Role Overview As a CNC Lathe Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating 2 and 3 axis lathes, producing small to medium batches efficiently and to high standards. Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC lathes; programming experience is advantageous but not essential Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments Conduct first-off inspections on machines Adjust machine settings confidently with minimal supervision Maintain tooling and replace inserts as needed Perform deburring operations as required Carry out basic machine maintenance Operate overhead cranes (training provided) Requirements and Skills Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team Good understanding of technical drawings Strong adherence to health and safety regulations Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail For more information regarding the position or to discuss any other opportunities Please call 01823212043 or email ; and ask to speak to Elliot for more information about this role .
