The following Telephonist vacancy has become available within the trust's Main Switchboard department. 1 x 25 hours per week 1 x 17.5 hours per week Position will include covering our 24-hour rota, including night shifts, bank holidays, and weekends. This position requires coverage of a 24/7 rota, including unsocial hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Anessentialpart of this vacancy is theflexibilityto cover colleagues' leave. You must be a team player and have the confidence to work alone. This position involves lone working shifts; therefore, we are looking for someone with a confident personality and the ability to multi-task during busy times. We are an extremely busy department and the main first point of contact for the Trust. Therefore, a courteous, helpful, and positive telephone manner with excellent communication skills is essential. Last year, we received over 1 million calls. Alongside handling these, we also monitored and actioned page requests, efficiently managed Crash and Trauma calls, Fire calls, Trust alarms including Medical gas and Estate alarms, Panic and Intruder alarms for both Leighton and Northwich Victoria. This was just a small part of our daily duties. Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. The Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.
