HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

1four1 Recruitment Ltd Description We are currently seeking for Refuse Class 2 Driver to join a dedicated waste and recycling team in Crawley. This role involves driving a refuse collection vehicle as part of a crew responsible for collecting household waste and recycling from residential properties across the city. Youll play a vital role in keeping the community clean and safe while delivering a high standard of service to the public. Key Responsibilities: Drive and operate a refuse collection vehicle (Class 2/HGV) safely and efficiently Work as part of a crew to complete daily collection rounds Assist with loading when necessary, especially in narrow or difficult areas Follow planned routes and schedules provided by the supervisor Complete vehicle checks and report defects in line with regulations Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times Provide friendly and professional service to the public Requirements: Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence CPC and Digital Tachograph Card 6 months previous experience in waste collection or driving large vehicles preferred Good knowledge of local roads and routes in Brighton desirable Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Willingness to assist with physical duties as required Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and have own PPE What We Offer: Full-time, ongoing work with potential for permanent opportunities Supportive team environment Weekly pay On-the-job training TPBN1_UKTJ
