Job Description JobDescription:OverviewMyclientistheUKslargestindependentsupplierofdrivesandmotorsandsupplieroftheyearforthelast5years.Theyarelookingfor2ExternalDriveServiceEngineerstoinstall,service,test,andcommissionVariableSpeedDrivesandControlPanels.Therolewillbebasedfromlocaldepotswithvisitstoclientswithintheregion.TheRoleReportingtotheServiceManagerthesuccessfulcandidatewillberesponsibletoattendvariouscustomerssitesaroundtheUKforroutineserviceworkonallmakesofVariableSpeedDrives,SoftStarts,withinstallationandrefittingofnewforold.Responsivebreakdowncalloutsarealsorequiredfromengineersonarotabasis.Assistwiththeirhirebusinesswithregardstoinstallationsandcommissioningonsiteandongoingoperationofinstalledequipment.TasksServiceExistingCustomersDrives.AssistinsmallinstallationsofMCCs,NewforOldVariableSpeedDriveesandSoftstarters.Attendbreakdownstocustomerssitesforreactivemaintenance.TestandCommissionProductsofferedbythecompany.Markupdrawingswithmodifications.Supportthesalesteam.Liaisewithcustomersonsiteregardingtechnicalandprogresswork.Experience&QualificationsThesuccessfulcandidatewillbecommerciallyawareandhaveastrongengineeringbackground.Applicantswillideallyhaveexperienceofvariousindustrysectorssuchas,food&beverage,pharmaceutical,paper&pulp,petrochemical,chemicalmanufacturing,andmining&aggregatecompanies.IdeallyqualifiedtoaminimumofC&GPart1,273,HNC/ONCinelectrical/electronicengineering.IEE18thEditionInspections&TestingCertificateDesirable.HoldacurrentJIBSkillsCardorCCSC.SafetyPassport.Havegoodworkingknowledgeof240690LV,singleand3phasesystemsetc.DirectonlinestartingandStartDeltaStartingknowledgeisessential.PCknowledgeispreferredassoftwareprogrammesareusedoncertainproductsforcommissioning.WorkingKnowledgeofPLC,SoftStart&VariableSpeedDrives,Instrumentationand4-20mAControlwouldbeanadvantage,howevertrainingwillbeprovided.ExcellentCommunicationSkillsCapabilitiesMustbecustomerfocusedShouldhavethedesiretoenhanceyourproductknowledgebyuseofyourkeypartnerstrainingandattendcourseswhenarrangedbythecompany.Berequiredtomaintaincalmunderpressureduringmajorplantshutdowns.Mustbeateamplayerandbeabletocontributetowardsteamgoals.Youwillberequiredtooperatewithinarollingratebasisfor24/7cover.AdditionalInformationAcompetitivebenefitspackageisonofferGenerouscalloutandstandbyratesarepaidinadditiontosalarypackageoffered.AfullandValidDrivingLicenceisrequiredasacompanyvehiclewillbeprovided.JBRP1_UKTJ
