If you are motivated by high standards, continuous improvement and delivering excellence every day, our Client offers a challenging and rewarding environment where your impact will be visible and valued.Role Description:The Production Manager is responsible for leading and optimising all production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF), to high quality standards, and within cost and capacity targets.This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) environment, focused on improving performance across manufacturing, finishing, assembly, and dispatch. The role requires strong planning, attention to detail, and the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.Main responsibilities include:Lead production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor control to maximise efficiency and delivery performanceOptimise workflows across manufacturing, finishing, assembly, and logisticsDrive continuous improvement, increasing productivity, capacity, and process efficiencyEmbed quality at source, reducing defects and reworkLead and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performanceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standardsCollaborate cross-functionally to support business performance and growthKey Measures of SuccessOTIF delivery performanceQuality (PPM, defect reduction)Productivity and efficiency metricsCapacity utilisation and throughputHealth 'safety performanceSkills & Experience5+ years experience in a senior production or manufacturing leadership roleStrong background in HMLV / bespoke / job-lot manufacturingProven experience in production planning, process improvement, and productivity gainsExcellent people leadership and team development skillsSolid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and cost controlExperience with ERP/MRP systems and shop-floor operationsPersonal AttributesHighly organised, detail-driven, and results-focusedComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-critical environmentStrong communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetResilient, decisive, and committed to high standardsPlease note there is no sponsorship available for this position.
