As part of the wider Doocey Group, we combine decades of industry knowledge with modern technology to keep people, projects and communities moving safely and smoothly.The RoleThe Depot Manager for Doocey Traffic Management is responsible for the day-to-day management of depot and traffic management operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. You will oversee site activities, making sure operatives are properly briefed, working to the correct RAMS and equipped with the appropriate PPE and uniform, while maintaining a professional and compliant environment across all works.ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day running or the depot, ensuring traffic management operations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with company health 'safety standardsEnsure all traffic management sites are installed and maintained to a high standard through regular supervision, audits and site visitsManage and support traffic management operatives, ensuring RAMS, SOPs and safety procedures are understood and always followedPlan and coordinate daily operations, ensuring work schedules are accurate and resources are allocated effectivelyMaintain compliance with client KPIs and respond promptly and professionally to client queries or issuesMonitor depot performance, including labour, equipment and operational costs reporting changes or making suggestions for improvements where applicablePromote a strong health 'safety culture, delivering regular briefings and ensuring all operatives are properly equipped with compliant PPEMaintain accurate operational records and support the preparation of performance and operational reportsEnsure depot facilities, vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard and remain safe and compliantThe PersonStrong leadership and team management skillsHighly organised and proactiveSafety-focused mindsetExcellent communication skillsProblem-solving abilityAttention to detailProfessional and approachableResilient and calm under pressureTechnical Skills & ExperienceExperience supervising large traffic management schemes and managing traffic management operatives and supervisorsStrong knowledge of temporary traffic management practices, including Sector Scheme 12DExperience in all aspects of 12D traffic management operationsProven experience installing and operating multi-phase temporary traffic signals and maintaining lane closuresExperience working in reactive environments, including emergency situations and road traffic incidentsAnility to produce and maintain accurate operational records and documentationQualifications & TrainingSector Scheme 12D M6CSCS CardFull Driving LicenseAdditional InformationDoocey Group value a diverse workforce and welcome applications form all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics.Please note that we operate with a preferred supplier list and will not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies with whom we do not have an existing agreement.By submitting your application, you consent to Doocey Group retaining your CV, application details, and personal information for the purpose of considering you for current and future employment opportunities.
