Power Systems Engineer (onsite)Overview Join a forward-thinking engineering team shaping the future of electrical infrastructure across marine, energy, and industrial sectors. We're seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to drive design and analysis for advanced low and medium voltage electrical systems across projects ranging up to multi-megawatt scale. From early-stage planning to hands-on commissioning, you’ll play a key part in delivering reliable and efficient power solutions.What You’ll Be DoingCollaborate across departments to define, design, and integrate electrical power networks – including generation, distribution, conversion, control systems, and energy storage.Perform system simulations and technical assessments covering load flow, short-circuit behavior, power quality (including harmonics), and EMC compliance.Develop comprehensive engineering documentation such as functional specifications, technical requirements, and equipment data sheets for electrical components like transformers, motors, converters, and switchgear.Ensure that all designs meet customer expectations and comply with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams on projects that require UK citizenship and security clearance.Who We’re Looking ForDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or PhD advantageous).Chartered Engineer status preferred (or actively pursuing with demonstrable CPD).Strong analytical skills using modern electrical simulation and modelling tools.
