Registered Manager – Residential Children’s HomeLocation: CoventrySalary: £55,000–£60,000 per yearHours: Full-time, 40 hours (Monday–Friday)⸻About UsWe are in the process of opening a new 5-bed children’s home for young people aged 7–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As we prepare for Ofsted registration, we’re looking for an experienced and confident Registered Manager, or a capable Deputy Manager ready to take on a step-up role, to lead the home from the very start.This is a great opportunity to help shape a supportive, high-quality service and to build a dedicated team around you. You’ll receive strong guidance and ongoing support from an experienced Responsible Individual throughout the setup and registration stages.⸻About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Registered Manager, ready to take the next step, to lead our new home in Coventry.This is an opportunity to shape a service from the ground up. You will have day-to-day autonomy and the full support of a knowledgeable senior team. As Registered Manager, you will also take on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and voices of the children are central to all decisions.⸻Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015Work towards achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratingSafeguard and promote the welfare of children and young peopleCreate and maintain a nurturing, consistent environmentLead, support, and supervise staff, including supervisions and appraisalsMaintain Care Plans, Risk Assessments, and accurate recordsManage budgets and financial responsibilitiesOversee the presentation and maintenance of the homePlan activities, outings, and holidaysEnsure mandatory training is completed and up to dateReport regularly to senior managementObtain and maintain Ofsted registrationMaintain registration with the DBS Update Service⸻What We’re Looking ForExperience:Minimum 5 years working in Residential Childcare (required)Minimum 1 year in a management role within a Children’s Home (required)Qualifications:Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People Workforce (required)Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare (required)Full UK driving licence (required)⸻What We OfferSalary starting from £55,000 (depending on experience)The opportunity to lead a brand-new home from its openingA supportive, trauma-informed team environmentOngoing professional development and trainingCompany pension, flexitime, on-site parking, and regular staff eventsHow to ApplyIf you’re passionate about creating a safe, nurturing home where young people can grow and thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
