Job Title: Employee Relations SpecialistEmployment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)Location: Coventry, UK (Hybrid/On-site)Salary: £40,000 - £42,330 per annumAbout the RoleWe’re seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to manage complex ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and absence reviews. You’ll coach managers, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance while fostering a positive workplace culture.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of ER issues (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance).Support managers in conducting hearings, investigations, and appeals (up to dismissal).Provide coaching to line managers on ER best practices.Analyse risks and recommend fair, legally sound case outcomes.Build strong relationships with stakeholders (HR, legal, leadership).Maintain accurate case records and produce data-driven reports.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven ER experience handling complex cases in the UK.Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices.Ability to coach managers and influence decision-making.Excellent written/verbal communication and critical thinking.Organised & resilient—can prioritise a high-volume caseload under pressure.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and HR systems.DesirableCIPD qualification or equivalent.Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or unionised environments.
