Job Description Facilities Maintenance & Compliance Engineer28,000 30,000 per annum + 6,000 car allowance OR company vehicle providedCoventry-based (Mainly covering the Midlands region)Permanent, Full-timeAbout the Role:RETAIND are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled, proactive, detail-oriented, and methodical individual to join a busyFacilities Management providerbased in Coventry. This role involves travelling across the Midlands to visit clients on a regular basis - weekly or monthly, to ensure their workplaces, facilities, and building systems are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with legal standards.Youll play a key part in maintaining trusted relationships with customers while ensuring high standards of compliance and maintenance are met across a range of sites.What Youll Be Doing:Carrying out regular inspections and compliance audits of building systems (including water monitoring, electrical, and fire safety).Carrying out a variety of basic first-fix & remedial repairs, such as simple plumbing, carpentry, painting, lighting replacements, etc.Attending occasional reactive call-outs to resolve customer issues promptly.Meeting customers on-site to build long-term, professional relationships.Maintaining accurate compliance records using a mobile/tablet-based CRM system.Recording key details, including serial/model numbers and photographs of issues requiring remedial action.Reporting visit details back to the office for the preparation of customer reports and quotations.What Were Looking For:Previous experience in a facilities management or property compliance role is preferred (transferable skills will be considered).Experience of carrying out a wide array of property repairs and basic maintenance tasks yourself.Excellent customer service and communication abilities.A methodical approach, strong time management and organisational skills.Ability to work independently, managing your own diary and workload.A full, clean UK driving licence (minor points accepted).Willingness to occasionally work outside normal hours, including some weekendsTraining:Full training will be provided on compliance requirements, and the use of our mobile app for digital reporting.
