Job DescriptionAbout usThe Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) are the professional body supporting housing professionals to create a future in which everyone has a place to call home.nAbout younWere looking for a proactive and highly organised professional to take the lead on managing CIHs offices and facilities across all locations, with a primary base in Coventry.As the office and facilities lead, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our working environments, oversee building compliance and maintenance, and take ownership of health and safety across the organisation. Your role will be central to maintaining a safe, functional, and productive workplace for our teams, both on-site and remote.nYou will bring a solid background in facilities management, with proven experience in overseeing building compliance and managing contracts and budgets. A suitable health and safety qualification, such as IOSH, is essential, along with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are key, as youll be liaising with colleagues, contractors, and senior leadership to uphold high standards across all CIH locations. As office manager, youll also serve as the first point of contact for visitors, managing front-of-house responsibilities and covering the reception desk when not engaged in facilities-related tasks.Day-to-day, youll be responsible for managing maintenance schedules, supervising contractors, overseeing security and fire systems, and supporting the induction and equipment needs of new colleagues. From coordinating office moves to ensuring the availability of supplies and facilitating a welcoming and well-functioning workspace, this role is hands-on, varied, and pivotal to the success of our operational environment.
