FTTx Site Supervisor

Tangent International are urgently looking for a FTTx Site Supervisor to work a 6 month rolling contract based in West CornwallJob PurposeThe FTTx Site Supervisor reports into the Rollout PM/Construction Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all field activities (Cable works, splicing and testing,) are carried out in accordance with agreed designs, working practices in line with all necessary Health and Safety requirements and to the necessary quality.Key TasksDaily on-site supervision of installation / build progress according to agreed milestones, assuring the required quality in the deployment by the appointed Build PartnersReview and interpret Build pack and ensure all documentation is in line with applicable requirements and conduct construction walkthrough with key stakeholdersEnsure the latest version of Build Pack, method statements, procedures and relevant requirements are being used and facilitate this to Build Partners in order to monitor compliance throughout the lifecycle of the deploymentValidate any variation or change in the deployment that has impact to cost or schedule is supported by an approved changeReport any variation or change not already supported by an approved changeEnsures all necessary materials have been ordered / delivered prior to start the workSupervise execution of the works based on the issued Build packManage subcontractor engagement and assure the availability of subcontractor resources needed to fulfil the planned and agreed milestonesEnsure all subcontractor resources have the required level of expertise and accreditation/qualificationsEnsure daily progress tracking with subcontractor including the updates on the relevant tools (e.g. RoT/WF). Approve / Reject works completed by subcontractor on the relevant toolsResponsible for acceptance of all works delivered up to and including site handover by the subcontractorEnsure all deliverables are delivered with acceptable qualityQualifications and ExperienceFull UK driving licensePrevious supervisory experience on large UK FTTx projectsGood understanding of FTTx architecture and designsFull and comprehensive knowledge of CDM RegulationsRequired qualificationsSA001 Safety OverheadSA002 Safety UndergroundS006 Duct SurveyS005 PoleSurvey Asbestos awarenessNRSWA Supervisor levelKnowledge of Openreach PIA processes, procedures and accreditation requirements
