Please do not contact the recruiter directly.Category Manager12 Month FTCLocation: Corby (Hybrid)About The Role The Category Manager role is a key position within the EMEA Product & Supplier Management organization, responsible for developing category strategies and collaborating with group, regional, and local stakeholders to execute growth plans. The goal is to deliver targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition, and ROI.For the technology and suppliers they are aligned with, the category manager will be instrumental in delivering a best-in-class product offer by defining market-leading brands, latest products, and innovative technologies to drive growth across EMEA. They will also manage the supplier and product portfolio throughout the product lifecycle.Managing a portfolio of key and strategic suppliers, they are accountable for supplier management and performance, negotiating contracts, and building collaborative relationships internally and externally to support growth.Responsibilities And DeliverablesCategory/technology strategy planning, governance, and executionDevelopment & execution of supplier business plans to realize the category strategyUtilizing digital data and insights to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and enhance portfolio & supplier performanceSupplier relationship management and relationship building to support growth plansNegotiating effectively to maximize profitCost management and price maintenanceNew Product Introduction (NPI) and portfolio development to build a credible range and support growthCollaborating across stakeholders to develop and deliver a compelling category offer aligned with customer needsManaging product lifecycle including NPI, discontinuations, and revenue protectionSupporting NPI delivery through supplier data and content acquisitionDelivering KPIs such as supplier and technology growth, revenue, margin, ROI, customer acquisition, product sales, and digital performanceNegotiating to add commercial value to RSBuilding strong relationships with suppliers and internal functionsWorking closely with the private label team (RS Pro) for optimized rangesInfluencing customer satisfaction scores (NES and NPS)Experience We Are Looking ForStrong commercial acumen and experience in a commercial environmentExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsAnalytical skills with the ability to derive insights from large datasetsExperience in supplier relationship managementProficiency with data analytics and digital tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Adobe AnalyticsCollaborative team player with a positive, results-oriented attitudeEffective influencing skillsOperational problem-solving and process management capabilitiesAbout RS Group RS Group has been solving engineering problems for over 80 years, turning "what ifs" into "why nots" and making the impossible possible.
