This role offers the chance to join a collaborative underwriting team where youll play a key role in assessing credit proposals, supporting commercial growth, and helping shape underwriting standards across the wider group.The RoleAs an Underwriter, you will support the wider underwriting function by assessing incoming proposals and making balanced, risk-based decisions. You will work closely with sales and support teams across the business, helping to ensure deals are structured effectively while maintaining strong credit discipline.This is a great opportunity for someone with junior underwriting experience looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-growing organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and underwrite proposals received from across the group businessesConduct risk-based analysis using tools such as credit searches, financial accounts, cashflow analysis and business background informationReview large volumes of business information to determine risk levels and reach sound underwriting decisionsClearly explain and justify decisions to sales and support teams, providing constructive feedback where neededAssist with the preparation of credit papers for senior underwriting and board reviewAssist with deal audits and provide recommendations where improvements are requiredProcess and maintain financial documentation relating to own book dealsAbout YouWere looking for someone who is driven, ambitious and looking for a new challenge within a growing organisation.
