Job Title: Project Manager – ICP Electrical & Multi-Utility ProjectsLocation: Remote working availableThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating ICP electricity and civils projects, working closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of schemes on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. The role requires direct experience within an ICP or similar multi-utility business, with a primary focus on electricity, while having exposure to gas, water, and other utilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementSupervise multiple teams of sub-contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.Attend site and stakeholder meetings, providing expert guidance to optimise scope, cost, and efficiency.Produce clear and actionable meeting minutes for the project team.Manage multiple projects across different clients, ensuring timely updates on changes.Oversee statutory applications, including Section 50 and traffic management plans.Identify and interrogate networks on-site (electricity, gas, water, sewer, telecoms) and apply for STAT plans.Provide accurate lead times and delivery schedules for new electricity connections (DNO/IDNO).Review network designs to achieve optimal technical and commercial solutions.Ensure compliance with NJUG requirements, metering options, and civils/street works standards.Use CAT, Genny, and GPR devices for utility location verification.Train and mentor team members on processes, compliance, and technical standards.Supplier ManagementDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.Identify new suppliers that meet project requirements and “fit for purpose” criteria.Monitor supplier SLAs, escalate performance issues, and review quotations for scope accuracy and risk.Manage supplier payments in line with project progress and contracts.Account & Client ManagementManage client expectations, providing advice on technical solutions, load impacts, and cost efficiencies.Handle difficult conversations professionally within a construction/utility context.Build client profiles and identify cross-sell opportunities.Attend client, council, design, and traffic management meetings, as well as pre-meter/metering visits.Commercial ManagementUnderstand and apply the company’s business model to ensure projects are commercially viable.Review quotes, contracts, and fee proposals to identify errors, risks, or misaligned T&Cs.Ensure supplier contracts are aligned and that adequate insurance and liability cover are in place.Escalate commercial or risk issues to management and manage project payments and variations.Experience & QualificationsMinimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager within an ICP or multi-utility business, with a strong electrical focus.NRSWA, SMSTS, CSCS Black Card / EUSR POWER qualified.Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.Advanced knowledge of electrical connections (DNO/IDNO), with exposure to gas, water, telecoms, and civil works.Advanced Microsoft Excel, strong numeracy, and literacy skills.
