We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Designer to join our growing London team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and a strong understanding of the ALIGNE DNA. You will play a key role in the design process—from initial concept through to final product—assisting with color exploration, sample coordination, and collaboration across various departments. You will work closely with the Design Lead and support the design team in creation of the ALIGNE collections from concept to completion to adhere to the CEO’s vision.Key Responsibilities:Support the Design team across all stages of the design process, from initial concept to collection completion.Conduct trend research and competitive shopping in line with seasonal direction for both UK and US markets.Maintain design boards and Style Arcade overview sheets across all collections and capsules.Prepare CADs and visual packs for internal reviews and presentations.Assist in creating seasonal color and mood boards to circulate with suppliers and mills.Demonstrate technical awareness and knowledge of garment construction.Adhere to seasonal calendars and critical paths to ensure timely delivery of samples.Assist the Buying team with CAD requests for style updates.Maintain sample trackers for both suppliers and the internal design team.Set up workbooks for the Tech team for seasonal collections.Coordinate Design team meetings and circulate meeting notes.Collaborate with the Merchandising team to create product descriptions for website styles.Requirements:A BA degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline1–2 years of experience in a contemporary womenswear design roleProficient in Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesignStrong understanding of the ALIGNE aesthetic, with a keen eye for silhouette, detail, and finishSolid knowledge of fabrics and garment constructionPositive, proactive, and collaborative mindset with strong time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentApplication Instructions:Please apply with your CV and portfolio.
