Roofers Mate

Our public sector client are looking for a Roofers Mate to join them on a temporary basis. Location Coalville, Leicestershire Pay Rate - 13.20ph to 13.74ph Team: In-House Repairs Team Job Purpose To support qualified roofers in carrying out roofing repairs, improvements, and renewal works to the Councils housing stock across the district, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist roofers with roofing repairs and renewal works across occupied and vacant properties. Prepare work areas, materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain clean, safe, and tidy work sites at all times. Work in accordance with current regulations, manufacturer instructions, and health and safety requirements. Liaise with the Asset Management Support Team to ensure work is scheduled effectively. Use all tools, accessories, and equipment appropriately and responsibly. Complete work within required timescales. Engage professionally with tenants and colleagues. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed. Essential Criteria Physically fit and able to carry out manual and physically demanding work. Ability to work safely at height. Commitment to completing work to required standards in line with current regulations and manufacturer guidance. Ability to meet required timescales and workload demands. Ability to follow Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle insured for business use. Two years continuous employment history supported by references, with no unexplained gaps. Desirable Criteria Experience working within a roofing or construction environment. Mandatory Training Required (Must Be in Place Prior to Start Date) Working at Height Manual Handling Asbestos Awareness COSHH Up-to-date training certificates must be provided prior to commencement of employment.
