The Role : As an Engineering Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project delivery by producing accurate , competitive, and commercially sound estimates. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing contract documents, specifications, and engineering drawings Logging and managing quotation enquiries for precision-engineered products and services Compiling detailed cost assessments, bids, and tender submissions Calculating material, labour, transport, plant, and equipment hire costs Sourcing and negotiating quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors Preparing and submitting professional quotations to clients Clarifying client requirements and providing tailored engineering solutions Conducting site visits and assessing health 'safety and risk requirements Keeping up to date with inflation, exchange rates, and market trends Presenting bids, answering client queries, and supporting work quality submissions Liaising closely with Sales, Design, Production, and wider engineering teams The Candidate: A Degree in Mechanical Engineering 35 years experience in a precision engineering, manufacturing, or engineering environment A solid background in mechanical engineering or precision manufacturing Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgement Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards Knowledge of specialist sub-contract machining and manufacturing processes Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills Interested?
