Mechanical Supervisor

Are you an experienced Mechanical Supervisor looking to work on high-quality building services projects across London? My client is a well-established Building Services Contractor based in London with over 40 years industry experience. Known for delivering high-end commercial schemes, as well as significant Residential, Healthcare and Education projects, they are going through an exciting period of sustained growth. As part of this expansion, they are seeking a capable and proactive Mechanical Supervisor to join their site delivery team. Mechanical Supervisor Position Overview As Mechanical Supervisor , you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and delivery of mechanical building services on a range of prestigious projects primarily across Central London. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, and subcontract partners, you will ensure that all mechanical works are completed to the highest technical standards, in line with programme, safety requirements, and client expectations. This role offers excellent long-term stability and the opportunity to grow within a highly respected M&E contractor. Responsibilities include: Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation works including HVAC, ductwork, pipework, plant rooms, and public health systems. Manage and oversee subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with specifications and drawings. Conduct daily site walk-arounds, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues. Review and understand design drawings, RAMS, and installation plans. Ensure all mechanical works adhere to current regulations, standards, and best practices. Support the Project Manager with planning, coordination, and reporting. Carry out inspections, snagging, and QA/QC, ensuring timely completion of remedial actions. Liaise with other trades, consultants, and client representatives to maintain smooth site operations. Assist in commissioning activities and ensure correct documentation is completed. Maintain accurate site records, progress logs, and H&S documentation. Mechanical SupervisorPreferredPerson Specification Level 3 technical qualifications/documentary evidence of vocational training (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3) (Including Welding, Pipework, Heating & Plumbing, and Commercial Gas) SMSTS/SSSTS/CSCS Strong background as a Mechanical Supervisor, Foreman, or Lead Engineer in building services.
