Interim Legal Counsel

Job DescriptionWe're working with a leading global financial institution looking to appoint an Assistant Legal Counsel to join their EMEA legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an interim junior lawyer (c. 12 years' PQE) looking to deepen their experience in financial services regulation within a supportive, international environment.What youll be doing:Advising on a broad mix of regulatory matters including MiFID, EMIR, GDPR, competition law, cross-border issues, investigations, and litigation.Supporting senior lawyers on legal risk and regulatory projects impacting the EMEA business.Assisting with the development of legal policies, procedures, standard documentation, and training.Working closely with internal stakeholders across various jurisdictions, including Head Office.What were looking for:A qualified lawyer (common law jurisdiction) with up to 2 years PQE from private practice or in-house (financial services preferred).A strong interest in financial regulation, with some exposure to relevant rules and frameworks.Proactive, collaborative, and keen to develop within a fast-paced, high-calibre legal team.Experience with litigation and/or regulatory investigations is a bonus.This is an excellent role for someone looking to grow their regulatory expertise in a complex, multinational business with a collegial and inclusive culture.
