Farringdon, Croydon or Sittingbourne Southern Housing is seeking a permanent Service Design Manager to lead the redesign of services, driving transformation and efficiency. Youll manage a team, work in Agile cross-functional projects, and ensure resident voices are central to service improvements. What youll do: Lead service design and transformation projects Manage and develop a team of Service Designers and Analysts Champion user-centred design and innovative solutions (including AI) Collaborate with residents, colleagues, and partners Ensure compliance with accessibility and design standards Support strategic planning and contribute to organisational change initiatives Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning What youll need: Strong leadership and team management skills Experience in Service Design, Interaction Design, or Graphic Design (Experience in housing, public sector, or social impact organisations is desirable) Knowledge of user-centred design, accessibility, and relevant standards Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience working in Agile environments and using design tools (e.g. Miro, Figma, Adobe XD) Relevant qualifications (A-level minimum; further certifications desirable) Familiarity with service blueprinting, journey mapping, and prototyping In your supporting statement, please address how you meet the above criteria providing examples.
