Manufacturing Engineer

JOB- Manufacturing Engineer LOCATION- Hampshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- 45,000 - 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area with experience in the manufacturing industry in a fast paced environment. Your main duty will be to drive continuous improvement as well as Project manage Manufacturing Engineering NPI Projects. The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering or science discipline, or demonstrably equivalent through work-based experience Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering role Experience with VSM and other Lean techniques is an advantage Hit the ground running, leading change and developing new ways of working through collaboration Has a challenger mind mentality Thorough attention to detail Lean Six Sigma Green belt beneficial Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve: Co-ordinate continuous improvement projects across cross functional teams Analyse current processes for cost reduction and improvement activities Communicating between procurement, suppliers and sub-contractors Assist in ensuring that standard operating procedures, work instructions, test instructions and control plans are clearly defined, documented and communicated by the best available methods. Support the transfer of new processes or new products (NPI) from Development to Manufacture. Assist in the Training of operators on new products, processes and equipment.
