Project Overview The role will be working as port of a small technical documentation team on a wide area military communications system. The role requires the production, amendment and management of technical documentation outputs to support the development, operation and maintenance of the system. This will include the compilation and analysis of the appropriate source data to enable to production of Procedural, Descriptive and illustrated parts Data modules, as well as the population of the Logistic Support Analysis Repository (LSAR). The role will report to the ILS lead via the Technical Publications Lead.Core Responsibilities Request, gather and assess the required source logistic information from equipment suppliers to inform the required technical publicationsUndertake Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) on Electronic computing and communication systems including an array of radios and mastsAuthor Data modules from the MTA and other publications including operating procedures and training material. This will include technical drawingsLiaise with Training Team to provide assistance with training contentAssist in the creation and maintenance of the Data Modules Requirements ListAuthor from new and update the full suite of descriptive, procedural and IPD data modules to populate the Common Source Database (CSDB).Proof read and review Data Modules produced by other team members, using the CSDB workflowProduce new IETPs using Trilogibuild software for delivery to the customerSkills / Experience Extensive experience in the areas listed above under key activitiesA good understanding of technical source data for systems, sub-systems and Line Replaceable Items/Units (LRU/Is) for generation of technical descriptions for inclusion into relevant technical publications Data Modules (DMs)Data Module authoring to an S1000D 4.1 standardTechnical Publications specifications e.g. S1000D 4.1, Def Stan 00-601Standard Numbering SystemsPopulation and maintenance of a Data Module Requirements List (DMRL)Technical authoring processes and techniques using industry proprietary software tools preferably through an EAGLE LSAR and EAGLE Publishing System to construct a comprehensive CSDBKnowledge and experience of XML Data Module technical authoring using EAGLE xml editor or industry equivalent.Technical Publications/IETP/CSDB Configuration Management processesExcellent attention to detailKnowledge of Trilogibuild is desirableI f the above opportunity describes you, then I would love to speak with you, get in touch - 01372 862020TPBN1_UKTJ
