HSQE Manager Christchurch (3 days in office) Full time, permanent Salary: 40-50k Competitive benefits package Our client, Mar-Key Group designs, manufactures, and installs high-quality temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent structures for a range of sectors including events, sports, warehousing, and aviation. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to lead the companys health, safety, quality, and environmental agenda. This pivotal role will focus on maintaining compliance, driving a safety-first culture, and continually improving the companys performance in these key areas. HSQE Manager , the role: Develop, implement, and regularly review H&S policies, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe working environment Champion and embed a safety-first culture across all teams, promoting open communication and hazard reporting Manage internal H&S systems and audit frameworks for Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental accreditations Conduct site inspections, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented Lead and minute H&S meetings, track actions, and ensure follow-up Stay up to date with legislation, embedding regulatory changes into company policies and procedures Collaborate with Heads of Department to ensure equipment and systems are maintained, serviced, and compliant Support tenders and client requests with HSQE documentation and reporting Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Deliver monthly KPI and performance reports to the Board Design and oversee structured H&S training and toolbox talks, ensuring consistent record keeping Mentor and coach colleagues in safety, quality, and environmental awareness Develop emergency response plans and lead drills across the organisation HSQE Manager , the person: Proven experience in Health & Safety management within a high-risk industry (construction or manufacturing preferred) Strong knowledge of UK H&S, Environmental, and Quality legislation and compliance frameworks Experience managing audits, accreditations, and risk assessments Qualified to NEBOSH or IOSH standard (essential) Excellent planning, organisation, and attention to detail Calm, pragmatic problem-solver who can perform under pressure Confident communicator able to influence, engage, and inspire at all levels Positive, proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites as required HSQE Manager , the benefits: Competitive salary up to 50,000 (flexible for an exceptional candidate) Hybrid and flexible working options Salary sacrifice pension scheme 23 days holiday + bank holidays Dynamic, collaborative environment within a fast-growing UK manufacturing business Opportunity to shape the HSQE strategy and make a tangible impact on the companys future Pure Human Resources Limited works in partnership with Client Name in providing Recruitment support.
