Job Descriptionn Warehouse Operativen n Job Descriptionn Warehouse Operative Network Services, Logistics & Warehousingn n The Warehouse Operative role is based at our Chorley location (PR7 3JP), working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional earlier or later starts. The Warehouse Operative will help keep the nations critical networks connected and protected 24/7.n Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for carrying out general warehousing and stores duties. The Warehouse Operative must be able to follow general work instructions without direct supervision. The primary purpose of this role is to provide warehouse logistics / logistical support to internal and external customers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials to support contractual requirements.n Warehouse Operative Key Responsibilities:n n Receiving deliveries of goods and suppliesn Checking deliveries for damage, shortages, or missing itemsn Storing and locating goods accuratelyn Conducting stock control, including perpetual inventory checksn Ordering raw materials as requiredn Moving stock by hand or using a forklift truckn Processing, picking, and packing orders for field teamsn Loading goods for dispatchn Maintaining accurate stock records using relevant inventory systemsn Keeping paperwork and filing systems up to daten Cleaning and tidying work areas, including the yardn Packing and wrapping goodsn Arranging logistics and transportation collections and deliveriesn Coordinating waste management collectionsn Performing daily safety checks on counterbalance and narrow aisle forklift trucksn Assisting less experienced staff when neededn Managing yard and vehicle movementsn Conducting risk assessments as requiredn n Warehouse Operative Ideal Candidate:n The ideal Warehouse Operative will be an organised, reliable, and a hardworking individual with proven experience in a warehouse environment. You will demonstrate strong knowledge of health and safety practices, possess a keen eye for detail, and be capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, flexibility, and a friendly, polite manner are essential. Experience with inventory systems and forklift operation is required (Forklift Truck Counterbalance License holder).n Warehouse Operative Key Requirements:n n Proven experience working in a warehouse environmentn Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practicesn Experience with inventory control systems such as Oracle or similarn Competency using RF scannersn Basic data entry skillsn Manual Handling experience and awarenessn Current valid Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance)n Polite and friendly mannern Good physical fitnessn Strong teamworking skillsn Ability to work quickly and accuratelyn Honest, reliable, and punctualn Flexible approach to working hoursn Good timekeepingn n What Telent Offers:n A career at Telent offers opportunities across sectors, roles, technologies, and customers providing chances to develop new skills and make an impact.
