pWe have exciting opportunities for strongAbattoir Team Leader/strong to join us at our Westerleigh site!/ppstrongShift Pattern: - /strongMonday to Friday, 40hrs p/w, 4 x 10hrs shift pattern/ppThe role of Abattoir Team Leader forms part of the Abattoir Departmental Management Team of shared responsibility for production and technical / specification performance of the Abattoir team./ppstrongKey Responsibilities:/strong/pul liAllocation of work to employees in the Abattoir Department/inclusive of job rotation/li liReport and resolve machine issues quickly, advising the Engineering Department of work requirements/li liEnsure product is produced within specification/li liAssist with any audits that are carried out in the department e.g. customer visits/li liWork closely with the training department to ensure the abattoir is up to date with all training requirements/li liCarry out routine inspection of your area and any equipment in your charge and report any maintenance requirements, deficiencies or recommendations for improvements/li liCarry out audits as required to monitor staff adherence to hygiene policies e.g. hand washing, PPE and clothing is worn correctly/li liTake responsibility for the investigation and reporting on corrective actions within the Department/li liCover for the absence of the Abattoir Manager as and when required/li liThe job holder has a responsibility to create a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example/li/ulpstrongSkills and Knowledge:/strong/pul liWorking knowledge of the department and relevant regulations applicable from both internal and external sources/li liExperience of working within a food manufacturer and in a fast-past environment/li liKnowledge of products, processes and procedures within relevant area/li liKnowledge of all relevant H&S procedures and requirements/li/ulpstrongQualifications (essential):/strong/pul liFood Safety Level 2/li liRecognised qualification/certificate of competence in meat processing (e.g. NVQ)/li/ulpOur ideal candidate will need strong communication skills, great attention to detail and ability to lead and motivate the team./p TPBN1_UKTJ
