About the CompanyVenn Group is working with a well-regarded and busy London local authority in their search for a Property Litigation Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 6 month role.About the RoleThis role involves working as a Property Litigation Lawyer (with Debt Recovery and Civil Litigation) on a locum basis.ResponsibilitiesHandling a caseload of property litigation mattersManaging debt recovery proceedings on behalf of the councilAdvising on and progressing a range of general civil litigation casesAssisting in reducing a significant backlog of filesSupporting the in-house legal team with ad-hoc litigation matters QualificationsSolid background in property litigation, ideally within the public sectorExperience with debt recovery litigation processesCompetence in managing general civil claims in the County CourtAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable working remotely and managing a flexible caseload Required SkillsProperty litigation expertiseDebt recovery litigation experienceGeneral civil claims managementIndependent working capabilityRemote working proficiencyHourly Rate: Negotiable depending on experienceLength of Contract: 6 months, with strong potential for extensionWorking Pattern: Full time – 36 hoursLocation: Local Authority in LondonOffice attendance: Ideally once a fortnight (flexible, including fully remote)Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
