Job Description Job Description Plumber (Social Housing Voids)Job Title: Plumber / Multi-Skilled PlumberLocation: Chesterfield and surrounding areasEmployment Type: Temporary (Agency)Working For: Contractor delivering social housing voids/maintenanceStart: Immediate / ASAPOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Plumber to work on void social housing properties, carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs, installations, and minor multi-trade works. This role is delivered on a temporary basis through an agency to support a contractor's voids and property turnaround programme.You'll be responsible for bringing empty homes up to lettable standards, ensuring all plumbing systems are safe, functional, and compliant.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out plumbing works within void social housing properties, including: Pipework repairs and replacementsInstalling or replacing taps, traps, wastes, and fixturesFitting sinks, basins, baths, toilets, and showersHot and cold water system repairsFault finding and basic leak detectionPerform light multi-trade tasks such as: Basic joinery (e.g., boxing in, bath panels)Minor patch plasteringSilicone sealing and basic making goodEnsure all work meets social housing and compliance standards.Work across multiple properties independently, managing workload and time effectively.Accurately record completed works, materials used, and any follow-on requirements.Maintain health & safety standards and ensure safe working practices at all times.Liaise professionally with housing staff and operatives when required.Skills & Experience RequiredDemonstrable experience as a Plumber in domestic properties, ideally within social housing, voids, or responsive repairs environments.Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently.Ability to complete small multi-trade tasks as part of whole-property refurbishments.Understanding of void property turnaround requirements and compliance.High-quality workmanship and attention to detail.Qualifications & RequirementsNVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).City & Guilds qualifications beneficial.Unvented/WRAS certification advantageous but not essential.CSCS Card preferred.Full UK Driving Licence may be required depending on the role.Own tools (some specialist equipment may be provided).Right to work in the UK.Additional InformationWeekly pay through the agency.Van provided & fuel cardPPE provided if required.Ongoing temporary work depending on contract workload and performance.Opportunities for additional hours or overtime depending on project demands.If this role looks like a good fit for you, please apply via the link or email JBRP1_UKTJ
