Job Description Position: Electronic EngineerLocation: ChesterfieldThe Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Engineer to join an established and growing business based in Chesterfield. Our client designs, develops, and manufactures a range of electronic devices used across the UK and Europe.This position is suited to an Electronic Engineer with a relevant degree qualification and demonstrable industry experience in a similar role. You will be involved in the full development of electronic products, working across electronics design including PCB design, mixed-signal circuits, embedded programming in C, and microcontroller-based systems.You will work as part of a small, offering significant variety in your day-to-day responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with a small design team. This role will suit someone with strong attention to detail who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, product development environment.Essential Skills & ExperienceRelevant degree in Electronic Engineering or similar disciplineIndustry experience within an electronics design environmentStrong understanding of communication protocols, including SPI, UART, and ICProficient in PCB layout and schematic design using Altium DesignerEmbedded C programmingHands-on hardware-level experience with STM32 and ESP32 microcontrollersExperience with circuit prototyping, testing, and debuggingSkilled in the use of test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopesFamiliarity with manufacturing techniques, design for manufacture (DFM), and EMC compliance requirementsDesirable ExperienceMechanical design experience, ideally using SolidWorksDesign experience for injection moulding / vacuum formingExperience working with Zigbee RF modulesWriting applications for Raspberry Pi using PythonDesign experience with high-power LED devices and constant current circuitsPersonal AttributesStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and issuesExcellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlinesEnthusiastic, highly self-motivated, and proactiveLogical yet creative mindset with a desire to innovate, learn, and developExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesIf you are keen to build your career within a new product development-focused business that is a leader in its industry, please contact Laurence Powell at KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions for further details.
