Job DescriptionElevation Recruitment Group is supporting a well-established, privately-owned manufacturing business near Chesterfield in the appointment of a Head of Operations.This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for site operations, covering manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing and logistics. The business produces high-volume consumer products for major UK retailers and operates a large, fast-paced production facility running 24/7.Reporting into the board, the role will lead a team of around 250 and play a key role in shaping the operational strategy, driving performance and building capability across the site.Key responsibilities will include:Overall leadership of manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and planning functionsManaging and developing teams across a multi-shift, high-volume operationLeading continuous improvement activity across safety, quality, cost and deliverySupporting cross-functional collaboration with commercial and engineering teamsBuilding a culture of ownership, accountability and operational excellenceWe are looking for candidates with:A strong operational leadership background within a manufacturing environmentRecent experience of running large-scale teams and complex site operations in excess of 150 FTEsA track record of delivering performance improvements and cost reductionA hands-on, people-focused approach with the ability to lead from the frontExperience in packaging, container or plastics manufacturing would be highly desirableThis is a confidential search being managed by Elevation Recruitment Group.
