Job Description Title: Senior Planning EngineerLocation: Chesterfield - Hybrid 2 days in the office / Remote workingSalary: 70-90,000 + packageA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a successful and expanding consultancy business. You will become part of a growing planning team, supporting key clients on major infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-profile schemes and the chance to work in a collaborative, professional consultancy environment that values flexibility and career development.As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will provide expert planning support to clients, developing and managing robust programmes, producing clear progress reporting and advising on best practice project controls. You will work closely with client-side and delivery teams, helping to manage change, mitigate risk and ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual and programme requirements.The role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, the remainder working remotely, and occasional travel to client offices when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6Produce baseline, target and progress programmes across multiple infrastructure projectsProvide planning advice and project controls support to key clientsMonitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategiesSupport change management and programme impacts in line with NEC contractsPrepare regular reports, dashboards and programme narratives for clients and stakeholdersCollaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across the UKCandidate RequirementsExtensive experience delivering UK infrastructure projectsProven background in planning within a consultancy, client-side or contracting environmentExpert-level knowledge of Primavera P6Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC forms of contractExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyWhats on Offer70-90,000 per annumCar allowance or Company CarPension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, Private MedicalPlus other great benefitsHybrid and flexible working 2 days in the office, remainder remoteOpportunity to join a successful and growing consultancyIf you are looking for a new career challenge in planning and you would like to be considered for the above opportunity then please apply by sending your CV to [email protected] or call Matt Lilburn on 01342 330 533 for further information quoting reference 72514.
