About the RoleThis role is responsible for the delivery of the client’s supply chain responsibilities, supporting the Commercial strategy and vision in close collaboration with the Sourcing, Policy, and Operations divisions. You will work closely with specific business areas—Corporate, Facilities Management, or Technology—based on your experience and interest.You will lead a team appropriate to your business area, ensure delivery of procurement pipelines, and support the implementation of supplier and contract management frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with business and Commercial peers to align responsibilities and train stakeholders as Contract Owners.Promote compliance with procurement policy and supplier management standards.Support the development of long-term category strategies and procurement plans.Deliver value through procurement exercises and market development.Manage supplier disputes and complex negotiations.Drive supplier performance and contract compliance in collaboration with Relationship Owners.Lead risk control implementation and ensure policy adherence.Champion sustainability and track continuous improvement metrics.Provide commercial challenge and quality assurance on tender documents.Support eProcurement system usage in line with defined workflows.Lead and develop your team to match workload and business demand.Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Capabilities:Proven experience managing suppliers and stakeholders in complex commercial environments.Experience with public-sector procurement regulations (PCR) and frameworks.Hands-on supplier and contract management experience post-contract award.Track record of delivering commercial outcomes through category strategy and procurement delivery.Proficiency in using procurement systems and tools.MCIPS qualification (or equivalent commercial experience).Behavioural Competencies:Strong stakeholder management and influencing ability.Clear, professional communication (verbal and written).Assertive yet collaborative approach.Self-motivated and capable of leading within a structured, high-impact team.Note: Please apply only if you're seeking a hands-on lead role — not suitable for senior execs, or experience focused on £billion+ deals.
