Job Description – Chief Commercial OfficerContract: 12 Month Fixed TermStart: September/Oct 25Salary: £150,000 to £200,000 + Company Benefits (indicative salary range depending on experience)Location: Central London - Hybrid working (2 days in the office and 3 from home – flexibility required for executive meetings)About the business and the roleMy client is highly reputable organisation specialising in financial data services, conducting independent research within the global investment community. They assess and rank top-performing sell-side service providers, asset managers, and senior executives, and provide access to insights gathered to financial institutions and listed corporates which support strategic decision-making and help enhance resource allocation and process efficiency.We are looking for dynamic and experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing all commercial functions, and ensuring the profitability of the business.The Chief Commercial Officer is a pivotal member of the executive team, directly overseeing all revenue-generating functions, including Marketing, Sales, and Sales Enablement. This role holds direct ownership of the business's Profit & Loss (P&L) and will work closely with the Finance department to ensure strategic financial management and sustained commercial success.The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a proven trackability of driving significant commercial outcomes within a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive, data-driven revenue strategies aligned with company goals.Align and optimise all revenue-generating functions, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Enablement.Identify and unlock new monetisation opportunities through partnerships, pricing, packaging, and segmentation.Collaborate with Product and Finance teams to shape pricing strategies and monetisation models.Lead and mentor high-performing commercial teams across key regions, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Enablement.Oversee go-to-market systems, sales methodologies, and enablement programs to support growth.Ensure marketing efforts drive demand generation and brand visibility in line with revenue objectives.Integrate customer and market insights into product roadmaps and commercial priorities.Maintain robust revenue forecasting models and performance reporting to identify growth opportunities and operational gaps.Track KPIs across the customer journey to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.Manage departmental and event budgets, ensuring alignment with fiscal year targets.Oversee the full customer lifecycle—from acquisition to retention and expansion—ensuring a customer-first approach.Partner with Customer Success to drive renewals, reduce churn, and identify upsell opportunities.Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on accountability and results.Requirement Experienced CCO/ CRO or equivalent executive role, leading teams with strong preference for experience in a data, research, or finance-based businessesDemonstrated success in sales-led environmentsDemonstrated experience in leading sales and marketing teamsExperience working cross-functionally on customer success, product, pricing strategyStrong global leadership experience in distributed GTM markets, especially in North America and EMEA.Proven ability to lead through change, scale functions, and create clarity amid complexity.Exceptional communicator with a strategic mindset, analytical acumen, and executive presence.
