Chef Manager - Term-Time Only (SEND School) Location: Chertsey Salary: 25,000 per annum (pro rata) Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 2:30pm (35 hours per week) Working Pattern: 42 weeks per year (term-time, inset days & 3 additional weeks) Platinum Recruitment is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Chertsey to recruit a dedicated and reliable Chef Manager. Term-time working - all school holidays off (except 3 additional weeks) Set daytime hours - no evenings or weekends Free meals on shift and full uniform provided Company pension scheme and employee benefits platform Supportive working environment within a specialist school setting Small, manageable catering operation with a team of two Training and development opportunities What you'll be doing: Leading the school's catering operation with support from one Catering Assistant Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for around 120 students each day Managing stock, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen budgets Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures Working with school staff to accommodate dietary needs and preferences Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly What we're looking for: Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar role, ideally in schools or care settings Compassionate and reliable, with a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEND Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and health 'safety Able to manage a small team and maintain kitchen standards independently Organised, confident, and comfortable communicating with staff and students Interested?
