The role sits within their in-house fabrications division, which supplies precision metal components to support wider project delivery.They have invested significantly in fabrication technology and operate a well-equipped machine shop including CNCs, lathe, press brake, fibre laser, and welding bays.The OpportunityThis is a fantastic hands-on leadership role for an experienced fabrication professional looking to step into (or grow within) a team leader role.Youll supervise a small, skilled team, manage the daily flow of production, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, bespoke parts. Your own technical competency particularly with brake press operation is important, but more so is your ability to lead effectively, plan proactively, and maintain a safe, productive working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate day-to-day operations within the fabrications team.Operate brake press machinery and take ownership of related output - Core skillSupervise and delegate work across the team to maximise efficiency and output quality.Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and workshop organisation.Support equipment maintenance schedules (Total Productive Maintenance TPM).Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with design and production teams.Manage stock and consumables ordering via internal purchasing systems.Ensure all timesheet and job reporting is accurate and up to date.Monitor staff performance, attendance, and holidays with care and consistency.Promote team engagement, a positive working environment, and continuous improvement.Candidate ProfileWere looking for someone whos practical, proactive, and brings a lead by example mentality.The ideal candidate will:Have a strong fabrication background particularly brake press experience.Be a confident team leader with the ability to manage different working styles.Be highly organised with strong planning and time management skills.Be comfortable using production management software and general IT systems.Be familiar with Lean principles or 5S (desirable).Be fluent in English (additional languages a plus).Be reliable, mature, and solutions-focused no egos, no drama.Whats on OfferUniform and PPE providedSpot bonus/award schemes for outstanding contributionsContributory pension (post-probation)21 days holiday + statutory leaveAdditional holiday for long servicePrivate healthcare (including partner and dependents, post-probation)Cycle to work schemeOpportunity to grow with a forward-thinking, well-invested businessWorking HoursMondayThursday: 08:0017:00Friday: 08:0014:00EligibilityCandidates must have the right to live and work in the UK no sponsorship availableFull UK driving licence required (Essential)Location: Until end of 2025: Alcester / From early 2026: CheltenhamSalary: 40,000Please respond with an up to date CV to be considered.TPBN1_UKTJ
