Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description We are partnering with a growing technology organisation to hire an Infrastructure Engineer who can play a key role in designing, delivering, and supporting robust IT infrastructure across both internal and customer environments. This role would suit someone who is hands-on, organised, and eager to broaden their technical skill set. Exposure to networking, automation, virtualisation, or cloud technologies is highly beneficial.What Youll Be DoingDesigning, building, and supporting physical and virtual infrastructure solutionsInvestigating and resolving infrastructure issues efficientlyManaging system health through backups, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle upgradesProducing clear documentation for infrastructure, processes, and incidentsCreating scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasksWhat Were Looking ForDegree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experienceBackground in system administration or supportExperience delivering or leading IT infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of networking (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Dell) and core protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware or Hyper-V)Scripting/IaC skills (Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell, Bash)Comfortable with both Windows and Linux administrationKnowledge of backup technologies such as NetBackup or VeeamNice to HaveExperience with Git-based source control (GitLab, Bitbucket)Familiarity working within Agile teamsPersonal QualitiesHighly organised with strong communication skillsAble to work independently and within cross-functional teamsCalm under pressure and committed to delivering high-quality serviceCustomer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solvingAdditional InformationOccasional UK travel may be requiredMust have active DV ClearanceOngoing training and professional development is encouraged
